Obituary for Billy Gilbert Mr. Billy Don Gilbert, age 89 of Winnsboro, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Winnsboro. He was born on March 23, 1929 in Newport, Texas to the late Alvin Taylor Gilbert and Opal Scarborough Gilbert. He was retired from the US Army and afterwords spent most of his time in auto sales.

He is survived by his son, Brett Gilbert and wife, Connie, of Independence, Missouri; daughter, Donna Hobbs and husband, Roger, of Winnsboro, Texas; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
