Billy Joe Dicus of Cuba, Missouri passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at Steelville Senior Living at the age of 72 years. He was born October 30, 1945 in Steelville, Missouri to Fred and Hazel Humphrey Dicus. Billy was united in marriage to Bonnie Shoen and to this union one daughter was born.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. Billy was employed at the Chrysler Plant in St. Louis retiring after thirty years. He attended the Coffee Community Church and enjoyed fishing, riding in the pontoon boat and tinkering with lawn mowers.

He is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Keith Smith; three brothers, Richard Dicus, Louis Dicus and Allan Dicus. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Lisa Martin and husband Timothy of Steelville, MO; stepson, Michael Schoen of Steelville, MO; four brothers, Kenny Dicus and wife Terri of Dale, IN, Gerald Dicus of Steelville, MO, Jack Dicus and wife Deborah of Bourbon, MO and Tim Dicus and wife Rita of Cuba, MO; four sisters, Judy Whittaker and husband Gene and Carol Watson all of Steelville, MO, Linda Dicus of Cuba, MO and Peggy Gregory of Woodland, TX; special niece (raised like a sister), Debbie Smith and husband Guy of Steelville, MO; sisters-in-law, Judy Dicus of Steelville, MO and Terri Chandler Dicus; two grandchildren, Tabatha Dement and husband Devan and Kaylee Adams; two great-grandchildren, Audrey Dement and Devan Dement, Jr.; other relatives and friends. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Whittaker officiating. Committal prayer with burial and Full Military Honors will be in the Steelville Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers will be Mike Whittaker, Larry Whittaker, John Watson, Joey Guthrie, Bradly Dicus, Brandon Gregory, Danny Dicus and Jim Dicus. The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
