Billy Ray Davis age 50, of Chadbourn passed on Monday, June 4, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Final rites will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Porter Swamp Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Billy was employed as an electrician at National Spinning Company in Whiteville for 29 years. He is survived by his wife, Mickie Godwin Davis of the home; two sons, Austin Ray Davis and Andrew Chandler Davis both of the home; his mother, Judy Allene Reaves of Thomasville; his father, Wilton Iven Davis Sr. and his wife, Janice of Nakina; two siblings, Wilton Iven Davis Jr. of Lynchburg, VA and Teresa Lynn Davis of Thomasville; his paternal grandmother, Mary Magdalene Davis Cheshire of Chadbourn.

Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
