Virginia Ruth McKee Guyton, age 82 of Clarkton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 27, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Clarkton Cemetery with Reverend Charlie Tatum and Reverend Ra Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.

She was the daughter of the late Roberta Gibson McKee and George Buck McKee and the step-daughter of the late, Doris Whitaker; and was also, preceded in death by a daughter, Delane Guyton Garrell. She had a special love in her heart for children where was employed at Miss Debbie’s Daycare in Clarkton for many years. To cherish her memories, she leaves her husband of 64 years, Reverend John Henry Guyton of the home; two sons, John Marshall Guyton and Dale Guyton and his wife, Sandra all of Clarkton; three siblings, Carolyn M. Ward and her husband, Danny of Laurel Hill, Donnie Buck McKee of Clarkton and Judy M. Turner of Bladenboro; grandchildren, Jonathan Kevin Stubbs, Marvin Eddie Stubbs (Crystal), Cody Stubbs, Allison Garrell Oates (Jake), Clarissa Garrell and Brandon Edwards; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Kate Oates.
