Obituary for Blas S. Gomez Blas S. Gomez, 60, a lifetime resident of Santa Maria Texas went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He was born January 20, 1958 to Nicolas and Olga Saldivar Gomez Sr. in Reynosa Mexico. He is survived by his loving family: Parents: Nicolas and Olga Saldivar Gomez Sr. of Santa Maria Texas, 4 brothers: Edelmiro (Oralia)Gomez of Harlingen Texas, Gumaro (Evelia) Gomez of Santa Maria Texas, Omero (Candy) Gomez of La Feria Texas, Álvaro (Melissa) Gomez of Harlingen, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his brother: Nicolas Gomez Jr. and sister: Beatrice Yanez. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. and Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 14, 2019. We will depart Rudy Garza Funeral Home of Mercedes at 9:15a.m. for a 10:00a.m. mass at St. Margaret Ann’s Catholic Church in Santa Maria Texas with interment to follow at Heavenly Grace Cemetery in La Feria Texas.
