Obituary for Bobby J. Troppman Bobby J. Troppman, age 82, longtime resident of Grove, passed away on June 6, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bob was born in Oak Knoll, Minnesota and raised in Brook Park, Minnesota. He joined the Air Force in 1955 where he was an electrician.

He served for 4 years and earned the rank of Airman First Class. He met and married his wife Jackie in Wichita, Kansas in 1957. They lived in Minnesota, where Bob worked as a heavy equipment operator, before moving to Grove in 1968 where they bought Beacon Point Resort and lived the ‘dream life’ until retiring in 2000.

Bob was an avid fisherman and made many trips to Canada with family and friends. His hobbies include wood working and scroll sawing, reading, music and playing instruments, rebuilding cars and motor homes and he adored his animals. Bob was loved dearly by his family and will be in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife Jackie of 60 years, son Jon and wife Debi, all of Grove; daughter, Jodi Roberts and husband, Allen, granddaughter Cassi Moore and husband Randy and great granddaughter Ainsley Moore, all of Choctaw; grandson Tyler Troppman of Stillwater and granddaughter Amber Troppman of Edmond. Also extended family Mickey and Jess Michalec and their 3 daughters Hayleigh, Macy and Kevi of Owasso, J.R. and Pam Michalec and their two children Olivia and Gregory III of Ohio, one sister-in-law, Gail, of Bella Vista, and many nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 15 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m at Nichols Stephens Funeral Chapel at 9611 US Highway 59.
