Bobby Ray Brewer, 71, of Florence, passed away September 30, 2018 at his residence. He was a member and deacon of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church; Free Mason; a graduate of Central High School, and was a U.S. Army veteran where he served as an M.P. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church with Rev.

William T. Brewer and Rev. Reggie Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Ray Brewer; parents, Laymon Lee Brewer, Sr. and Elizabeth Skipworth Brewer; sister, Della Mae Brewer; and a brother, Laymon Lee Brewer, Jr He is survived by his wife, Alicia Wilson Brewer; son, Jeff Brewer (Michelle); daughters, Kerrie Jolley (Bob), and Sherri Hart (Jeremy); brothers, William Brewer (Delores), Kenneth Brewer (Karen), and Terry Brewer (Emily); sisters, Alma Daughtery (Tommy), Meryle Wesson, and Deborah Burnside (Jerry); and grandchildren, Candace, Kaitlin, Haleigh, and Nathan Brewer, Dalton and Hannah Jolley, and Lola and Cora Hart. Active pallbearers will be Lee Brewer, Mickey Brewer, Lane Brewer, Kelvin Brewer, Peyton Brewer, Darrell Brewer, Greg Brewer, Jason Brewer, Justin Brewer, and Stevie Wesson .

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Jolley and Nathan Brewer. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kindred Hospice, Linda McCreless, Kirk, Eddie Freeze, and Mr. Joiner.
