Elmo Powell, 77, of Tuscumbia, passed away on November 18, 2018. He was a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church, and past member of Cahaba Temple in Huntsville. He served our nation in the United States Air Force and he retired from International Papers of Courtland after 29 years of service.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 10-12 Noon at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ronnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Powell; father, Charles Powell; mother, Lilly Lickliter; brothers, Dennis Powell and Gary Powell; and son-in-law, James Davenport. Survivors include his wife, Juliana Beckman Powell; daughters, Debbie Alexander, Tami Miller, Terri Westrick and Tina Davenport; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Baalbaki and his staff and Dr. Patel and the staff at the cancer center.

Active pallbearers will be Jessie Powell, Zack Davenport, Mike Westrick, Ray Grissom, Dylan Kastberg , and Michael Nichols. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Carl Sims, Paul Thompson, and Dr. Oliver Matthews.
