Anthony Ray Wade passed from this life November 24, 2018 at the age of 62, after an extended illness. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ and a graduate of Wilson High School where he played football, basketball and baseball.

He was a carpenter, mechanic and a concrete worker. Visitation will be at Mt. Zion Church of Christ from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. at the church with Jerry Campbell and Rodney Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Survivors include his parents, Billy and Aliene Wade; sister, Sandra Haygood (Ed); nephews, Bryan and Allen Waller; nieces, Rachel and Heather Haygood; his beloved dog, Little Bit; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Ed Haygood, Mike Wade, Bill Hendrix, Bryan Waller, Richard Dent and Jeff Stutts. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Barr, Carl Ezell, Keith Wade, Allen Waller, Cliff Thompson and Price Harrison.
