Obituary for Bonnie Dolores Partin Wetterer Bonnie Dolores Partin Wetterer (88) passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Louisville, KY after a lengthy illness. Dolores, as she was known, was born in Middlesboro, KY on March 20, 1930 to Bonnie Lawson Partin and Charles Burton Partin. She spent the majority of her life in Louisville KY.

Upon moving to Louisville, she worked for the Metropolitan Sewer District and for William S. Wetterer & Co. Later in life, she became a licensed realtor. She was also known for her exceptional artistic talent, focusing mostly on oil painting including beautifully rendered still lifes, landscapes and portraits. She leaves behind a much loved legacy of artworks for her family.

Dolores was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Robert H. Wetterer to whom she was married for 53 years, as well as her three sisters: Louise Midkiff, Gloria Spadie and Betty Day. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Bonnie Gwin (Jim) of Gates Mills, Ohio and Dr. Linda Gries (Jim) of Louisville and stepdaughter, Sue Huff of Charlotte, NC. She was also a cherished grandmother to John Gwin (fiancée, Joan), Michael Gwin, Jill Gries, Gina Gries, Matthew Huff (Ginny) , Katie Huff and great-granddaughter, Lilly Huff.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at Miralea, Sally’s Garden and Hosparus for their great care and support of Mom. Visitation will be Friday, May 11 from 5-7pm and Saturday, May 12 from 10 – 11am at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. A service celebrating Dolores’ life will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 12 at Highlands Funeral Home followed by internment at Calvary Cemetery.
