Obituary for Gerald “Jerry” Church Jr. Gerald C. “Jerry” Church, Jr. New Albany – 50, passed away April 28, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. Born October 28, 1967 to Gerald C. and Jane G. Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Elizabeth Gross Church, and brother, George Edwin Church.

Jerry was a graduate of Seneca High School class of 1987 where he excelled in sports and school. Jerry was an outstanding bowler locally throughout the years and had many 300 games to his credit. Jerry worked for Strike & Spare in New Albany as its head mechanic.

Jerry is survived by his life partner, James Love; his father, Gerald C. Church, Sr.; his sister, Rebecca Church Canter (Chuck); nephew, Alex Canter; niece, Brooke Canter Wheatley (Tommy); great nephew, Colten Wheatley and great niece, Sadie Jane Wheatley. Visitation will held at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40205, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 2:00pm-8:00pm. A Celebration of Life begins at 10am Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the funeral home, with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the WHAS Crusade of Children.
