Bonnie L. Simpson, 72, of Rock Island, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. Private graveside services for Mrs. Simpson will be held at a date later at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family. Bonnie was born on November 17, 1946 in La Belle, Missouri, a daughter of Lee and Velma (Menke) Taylor. She married Gary Simpson on May 31, 1969 in Moline.

Bonnie worked as an accounts receivable clerk at PDC John Deere, Milan for 19 years, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and camping. Survivors include her husband, Gary; sister and brother in law, Billie and Robert Peterson, Moline; brother in law, Francis Benson; and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mitzi Benson.
