Obituary for Bonnie S. Witamyer Bonnie S. Witamyer, age 83, died on Friday, September 7, 2018. Bonnie was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 30, 1935 to Hilmer Alden Sallander and Dorothy Bess (Patterson) Sallander. Bonnie was a very independent, strong and artistic woman.

She liked to shop and enjoyed being around other people. She owned her own jewelry business. Bonnie loved all kinds of music from Big band, to ballroom, jazz, and even Tijuana brass.

She loved to dance and taught dancing and exercise classes at the Irving Senior Center. She was a member of Daughter of the Nile and the Red Hat Society. She created Macramé jewelry that she displayed and sold in the large Dallas area art shows.

Bonnie was always on the go and busy, but she never failed to make time for family. The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd. , Irving, TX 75061.

A procession will leave from the funeral home for the interment. The graveside service will be held at 2:15pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Scottish Rite Hospital of Dallas.
