Obituary for Mark Akin Mark G. Akin, age 57 died on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Mark was born on November 21, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Leonard Everett Akin and Wilma Jean (Hamman) Akin. Mark was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.

Mark loved old black and white movies, fishing, and barbeque. He had a great sense of humor and was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He had an excellent memory and knew any and all classic rock songs.

Mark also attended Irving First Church of the Nazarene. Mark is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Janet Lynn Akin; and brother in law Marc Gaona. Left to cherish his memory are brother Steve Akin and wife Lisa of Irving; sisters Cynthia Turner and husband Steve of Grand Prairie and Carla Akin of Grand Prairie; daughter Amanda Sue Akin of Southlake; grandson Jack Richmond; as well as numerous other extended family and loving friends.

A memorial service will be scheduled and we will post the finalized information to our website as soon as the family as made the arrangements.
