Obituary for Mike Ross Michael Ross, age 72 died on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Mike was born on November 13, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to Clyde Ross and Zona (Cochran) Ross. Mike was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle and friend.

Mike was raised in Marshall, Texas and graduated from Marshall High School. From there he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Texas A&M Commerce. He continued his education working toward his doctorate at University of North Texas.

Mike spent his career working at Trinity Valley Community College, El Centro Community College and Richland Community College. He also owned his own company, Distinctive Decks. Mike served honorably as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, working as an OSI Agent and stationed in New York City, New York and New Orleans, Louisiana.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents; sister Patricia Esau; sister in law Dorthy Gossett; brother in law Bob Phoenix; in laws Orlin Keith and Mary Welton Summerill; and nephew Ryan Phoenix. Left to cherish his memory are wife Pat Ross; sons Jon Ross and wife Karen of Frisco, Texas, Chris Ross and wife Kathy Alagar of San Leandro, California; grandchildren Cristian, Gabriela, Orlin, and one on the way; brothers in law Cliff Esau and Tommy Gossett; sisters in law Sue Phoenix, Lisa Hamilton, Christine Barnfield and husband James, Jinny Francis and husband Bob; as well as numerous other close family and loving friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, 1615 Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75062.
