Brandon Louis Fontenelle, “Bidweweyaasin” which means “The Sound Before the Wind”, 44 years old of the Eagle Clan and Redby, Minnesota began his journey to the spirit world on Monday, October 8, 2018 from his home. He was born in Red Lake, MN on August 21, 1974 to Emmett and Peggy (Donnell) Fontenelle-Young. When Brandon wasn’t providing for his family, you could find him with his children, who were his world.

He also spent time hunting, fishing; generously sharing his catch, and going to the casino. Brandon liked working on his truck, going to concerts and hanging out with his “Bros”. He loved to feel the wind in his hair, whether it be on his Harley, four wheeler or his snowmobile.

In his spare time, he enjoyed social media and trying to keep in touch with all his friends from all over and was always there to help out in time of need. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his father; Emmett Fontenelle, his grandparents; Louis and Jane Donnell, Theodore Edaakie and Dorothy Mahooty, uncles; Leon, Charlie, Rusty and Willard Donnell, Robert and Vance Fontenelle, aunts; Bernadine Thunder, Sharon Barrett, Antoinette and Lisa Fontenelle.

Those left behind to celebrate Brandon’s life are his wife; Leah Fontenelle, children; Bria, Annmarie and Louis, step-children; Richard and Angela, mother; Peggy, brothers; Shannon and Donnie, sisters; Marie and Roxanne, grandchildren; Kyleigh, Aubrina, Julianna and Winter, two special brothers; Darren and Anthony King, nieces and nephews; Shannon Nicole Haven, Matthew Fontenelle and Ethan Bailey, mother-in-law; Myrna, numerous other relatives and many more friends. An overnight wake for Brandon will begin at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Monday, October 15th all being held at the New Redby Community Center, Redby, MN. Zac Earley, and his assistant Ty Stately, will be his Spiritual Advisors.

His pallbearers are Darren King, Anthony King, Conrad Neadeau, Henry Donnell, Jr., Jeff Donnell, Douglas King, Sr., Justin Donnell and Leon Donnell, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are G. Don Spears, Michael Spears, Michael Good and all the Donnell family ladies. Interment will be in the Family Burial Grounds at Shemahgun, MN after services on Monday. Brandon’s care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN.
