Robert J. Harrison age 76 of Hackensack MN passed away on Thursday, October 4th at St. Cloud Hospital. Robert (Bob) was born on August 1, 1942 to Carter and Genevieve (Einberger) Harrison. Bob was born and raised in St. Paul with his seven brothers and sisters.

Bob graduated from Monroe High School in 1960. He married Mary Harrison (Callahan) and had one son Chuck, they were later divorced. Bob worked at Fairway Foods as Warehouse Laborer for many years.

By his retirement in year 1998 he had reached number 1 in seniority. His greatest passion in life was art. He was a very talented artist and portrayed that with sketches, paintings, bronze sculptors to name a few.

Bob would enter his art at the State Fair. A lot of Bob’s art was inspired while living in scenic Northern Minnesota. Bob loved living the simple life growing gardens and going to the Casino with his longtime companion Cathy Spartz of 25 years.

Bob also spent time in Arizona during the winter months where he enjoyed hanging out with friends at Lake Havasu. Family and friends was also a very important part of his life. He would make sure to call his Mom once a week at the same time to talk.

He also loved his Grandchildren Carter and Caitlin and taught them the appreciation of art. He would enjoy breakfast with his fellow co-workers from Fairway and visiting his neighbors at the Lake. Preceded in death; Parents Carter and Genevieve Harrison; Brothers Frank, Ken and Dick Harrison.

Forever will be missed by son Chuck and Wife Megan (Finger) Harrison; Grandchildren Carter and Caitlin Harrison; Companion Cathy Spartz and her Daughters Carrie, Cheryl and Jackie; Sisters Betty Stoffel, Shirley and husband Skip Smith, Barbara Williamson; Brother Roger and wife Gail Harrison; and many friends. Celebration of Life will be held on from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 13th at 4138 North Stony Drive NW Hackensack MN. An additional Celebration will be held in Northfield MN on a later date.
