Brenda (Henry) Hosken, 68, of Frostburg, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Born March 1, 1950 in Frostburg to Raymond L. Henry and Cleo (Davis) Henry; she is preceded in death by her father, Raymond, and her mother-in-law Mary (Moore) Hosken. Brenda was graduated from Beall High School in 1968 and Frostburg State College in 1973.

She began teaching in Allegany County schools in 1973 and retired from Mount Savage Middle School in 2013. Surviving in addition to her mother are her loving husband of 46 years, James Franklin Hosken; two children, Jennifer Hosken and James Louis Hosken and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Brooke Ralston, Brianna Ralston, James Thomas Hosken and Nayomi Arnold; sisters, Linda Race and husband Rob, Debra Stevens and husband Mike; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hosken and Martha Clarke; nieces and nephews, Raymond Rase and wife Tracy, Randall Rase and wife Sherry, Aaron Stevens and wife Amy, Marshall Clarke, Stephen Clarke and wife Yeshe; as well as great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial service will be held following the visitation.

A private inurnment will be held in Frostburg Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Allegany County Animal Shelter, 716 Furnace Street, Cumberland, MD 21502and Ark of Hope Animal Shelter, 13400 Arctic Ridge Lane, Oldtown, MD 21555. A special thank you to her caregiver, Michelle McKenzie, and her daughter, Molly.
