Brian L. Ciriacks, 71, of West Bend, WI, formerly of Hartford and the Town of Rome, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019, surrounded by family. Brian was born on June 11, 1947 in West Bend, WI to the late Elmer and Rita (nee Klein) Ciriacks. Brian graduated from Slinger High School in 1965.

He honorably served his country in the Vietnam War from 1967-1968 with the United States Army. In 1983, Brian created the first United Vietnam Veterans Organization Post in Hartford, serving as its first commander, something he was very proud of. Brian loved riding his Harley Davidson to Sturgis, SD every year cruising the waters on his pontoon boat, and taking care of his always pristine yard.

Nothing gave “Grandpa B” more joy than rewarding his grandkids for good report cards and spoiling them with his famous rootbeer floats. Those Brian leaves behind to cherish his memory include his two children, Jill (Chris) Galasinksi and Matthew (Carianne) Ciriacks; 4 grandchildren, Chloe, Madeline, Samuel, and Emma; he is further survived by two siblings, Daniel (Lynn) Ciriacks and Mary Ellen (Kons) Sadownikow; former spouse and special friend, Mary Ciriacks; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Brian is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Joel (Carol) Ciriacks; and son, Todd Ciriacks.

A memorial service honoring Brian’s memory will be held at Myrhum-Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home (1315 W. In lieu of flowers, Brian asked that memorials would be given to the MACC Fund or the Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.
