Brian L. Wood, 70, of Mancelona, passed away on January 29, 2019 at his home. Brian was born on November 27, 1948, in Detroit, the son of Robert Sr. and Violet (Ayres) Wood. Brian had a very happy personality and loved spending time with his family.

His greatest love was his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and cooking. He is survived by two children, Alisa Wood (Kyle Spires) of Mancelona, Robert Wood of Mancelona, three loving grandchildren, Brianna Wood, Olympia Grice, Wynter Spires, and a sister Dawn Wood of Newport, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dennis Wood and Robert D. Wood II. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona when weather permits. Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
