John C. Broutin Jr., of Boyne City, passed away on March 2, 2019 at his home. John was born on July 23, 1973, in Detroit, the son of John and Jeannette (Hackman) Broutin. John loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He enjoyed cooking, but most of all spending time with his son Jasper. On July 1, 2011, he married Karen L. Anthony who survives. Also surviving are a son Jasper Broutin at home, a sister Jennifer (Kamal) Farah of Boston, MA, mother-in-law Nancy (Bruce) Lawson of Boyne City, father –in-law Jim (Peggy) Anthony of Brighton, MI, sister-in-law Kristen (Ken) Robinson of Oakland Twp.

, MI, brother-in-law Nick Anthony of Boyne City, niece Amelie Farah of Boston, MA, aunt Maddie Merritt as well as several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and an aunt Sister Andrea Broutin. Memorial services will take place on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Boyne City.
