Obituary of Brian Halpern Brian Russel Halpern, of Middletown, NY passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Town of Wallkill, NY. The son of the late Herb and Milli Halpern, he was born on April 9, 1965 in Brookdale Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. He was 53 years old.

Brian was a kind soul who loved playing his guitar and singing at open mike night. His hobby since a young boy was collecting Lionel trains. He enjoyed tinkering with old and new pieces which brought him much joy.

He had a talent for cooking which he enjoyed, and was always involved in helping during holiday family dinners. His favorite food was a chicken parm hero. He loved the country life and especially loved fishing on hot summer days.

He will be missed by his sisters’ Jill Steingart and Karen Fink, their husbands Ira Steingart and Steven Fink and his niece and nephews Zakary Steingart, Alyson Steingart, Brandon Fink and Harris Fink along with his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be at Temple Shalom Cemetery, South Woods Drive, Monticello, NY on Thursday April 19, 2018 at 1:00.
