Obituary of Daniel Zemann Daniel Zemann, who was born on July 5, 1925 in Budapest, Hungary, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was a longtime resident of Grahamsville, NY. Daniel retired as a Captain of the New York City Department of Correction, where he commanded the Firearms unit.

He bravely served in the US Army during World War II with the 185 Combat Engineers in Italy. Daniel was an avid gun collector and also a life member of both the Ulster Heights and Wawarsing Rod & Gun Clubs, the NRA and the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association. He is survived by his wife Susan; his four children Kathleen, Daniel Jr., Joseph and Lauren Ann; three grandchildren Cate, Rebecca and Beatrice.

A burial will take place with full military honors at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements under the care of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, for further information call 845-434-7363 or visit www.
