Obituary of Jacob Wexler Jacob “Jake” Wexler, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Catskill Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was 93. He was born on July 26, 1925 in Roscoe, NY, son of the late Sam Wexler and Ida Sapiro.

Jake was born and raised on Lincoln Farm in Roscoe. This early upbringing stayed with him as he was well known as the true farmer and jack of all trades in his family. He learned to make use of everything, to work hard, and to never let anything go to waste.

He knew how to fix just about anything and knew how to make the most of what he had. He worked for Short Line Bus Company as a Bus Driver until his retirement. He then devoted his time working with the Sullivan County Meals on Wheels.

He also was a member of the Liberty Volunteer Ambulance Corps, of which he was one of the original members. In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors, especially tending his yard and garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife Marion at home; his children Joel Wexler and his wife Julie of Oneonta, Steven Wexler and his wife Jo-Anne of Florida, Eva Pepe and her husband Michael of Queens, NY and Sue Pletter and her husband Ken of Livingston Manor; his grandchildren Sarah Raimundo, Rachael Ryan (Shannon), Jessica Wexler and Justin Wexler, Briana Kahle (Matt), Sarah and Julian Pepe and Andrew and Beth Hoffman-Patalona his great-grandchildren Avalla Raimundo, Harper, Cooper, and Sadie Ryan. He is predeceased by his first wife, Roslyn as well as five sisters. A family gathering will be held today, Monday, September 17th at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St. Livingston Manor, NY 12758 at 12:00pm.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. Rabbi Fred Pomerantz will officiate. Interment will follow at Agudas Achim Cemetery.
