Obituary of Louis Davis Mr. Louis B “LB” Davis was born on December 24, 1927 in Fort Gaines, Georgia to the late Everzetta Davis and William Love. He departed this life on July 20, 2018. He was a husband, father, and friend.

He was reared in Fort Gaines, Georgia, and Miami, Florida before moving to Woodridge, New York. A dedicated, hardworking individual, LB spent many years at Dick Elliot’s dealership as a mechanic and Kessler’s Meat Market as a Butcher in Woodridge, New York. He also worked in landscaping and enjoyed designing and making garden decorations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everzetta Davis Bray and William Love, his brothers, Elijah “Fuzzy” Davis and James Love of Miami, Florida; a son, Ronald James, of Woodbridge, Virginia; step-father, Jimmy Bray of Fort Gaines, Georgia, and a step-son, Jimmy Johnson of New York, New York. He met and married Susan Alberta Davis, along with whom he leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Jessie Robinson of Port Jervis, New York; daughters, Renee Lyles of Waldorf, Maryland, Beverly Coley of Raleigh, North Carolina, Stephanie Stokes of New York, New York, and Kyleigh and Victoria Avery of Woodridge, New York. He also leaves step-daughters, Dr. Silvya A. Kirk, of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Fontaine Swinson, of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and step-sons, Arthur “Shot” Johnson of Wilson, North Carolina and Joe Johnson of Raleigh, North Carolina.

He also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 10-11am at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.

Rev. Florence Palmer will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Parsonage Rd.
