Obituary of Jean Griesbeck Jean Ann Griesbeck, of Claryville, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Skilled Nursing Unit in Harris, NY. She was 80. She was the daughter of the late William Bauer and Charlotte Murphy, born on December 11, 1937 in Rockland County.

Jean worked as a secretary for Carbonline Industries in Nanuet, NY. She opened up her heart and home to the children she cared for as a foster mother. In her free time she volunteered as a 4H leader, and enjoyed baking, sewing and cooking.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her, and she truly loved the time she spent babysitting her two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Alex. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, William “Bill” Griesbeck; her son Robert Griesbeck; her granddaughter and caretaker Theresa Uciechowski and her husband James; as well as several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her son John Griesbeck and her brother Roger Bauer. A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm on Wednesday, June 27th at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A memorial service will take place at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
