Obituary for Brooks Etheridge Alfred Brooks Etheridge age 77 of Putnam, AL died October 3, 2018 at Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was born July 17, 1941 in Putnam, AL to Roulhac A. and Amy Lois Etheridge. Brooks retired from Georgia Pacific Corp.

after working 40 plus years. He was a Baptist minister for 41 years and retired in 2015 from Putnam Baptist Church. He was a member of Putnam Baptist Church He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Etheridge; son, Alfred Brooks Etheridge, II (Billie Jo); daughter, Kim Thompson (Mike); sister, Brenda Etheridge Seman (Bill); six grandchildren, Will Jackson, Hannah Duff, Josh Jackson, Michael Thompson, Emily Thompson, Bekah Etheridge; two great grandchildren, Eli Duff and Asher Duff.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Jackson. Visitation will be held at Putnam Baptist Church on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Putnam Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Gideon’s International or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements by O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home.
