Brother Ronald N. Fritz, 77, of Lehighton,was called off from labor on Monday, January 21st at The Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Sandra Hoffman Fritz. They were married for 50 years on February 3, 2018.

Born in Lehighton on Sunday, October 5, 1941, he was the son of the late Norman D. & Lillian E. (Grotz) Fritz. He was a member of Zion United Church Of Christ, Lehighton. Ron was a Lehighton Area High School graduate, Class of 1959.

He played trumpet in the Lehighton Boys Band and had a great passion for playing baseball during his youth. He served our country with the Army National Guard during the Viet Nam War and was discharged in 1970. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the Highway Construction profession as an estimator.

Among his employers with 44 years of service were Riebe Construction of Palmerton, where he was instrumental in the development of Little Gap Ski Area known as Blue Mtn. , Tony DePaul of Philadelphia, Haines & Kibblehouse of Skippack, and most recently at his retirement was employed with Rota-Mill Inc. of Oley, Pa. Ron was the 1974 Post Commander of Lehighton American Legion Post 314.

He held memberships in Lehighton F & AM Lodge #621, Lehigh Consistory-Valley of Allentown, and The Rajah Shrine Temple, Reading, Pa. , The American Society of Highway Engineers-East Penn Section Past President , The Andreas Sporting Club, and was a Life member of Lehigh Fire Co. #1. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, football, & cars.

He was very dedicated to being a son, father, grandfather and will be missed by his loving family and his grand-puppies, Mystic, Zaylie, & Max. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Barbara A. wife of Richard Sikora, of Bethlehem, a son Timothy L. Fritz and his wife Jen of Lehighton, 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Mackenzie, Ashley, a sister Shirley A. Weirich, nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 25th at 11 a.m. at Zion UCC, 225 Iron St., Lehighton with the Rev.

Dr. Dean D. Frey officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. in the church. Masonic Services at 9:30.

Interment following the services in The Lehighton Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of The Lehighton Area UVO. Memorial Contributions in his honor may be made to Zion UCC Capital Improvement Fund, 225 Iron St., Lehighton, Pa. 18235 Online condolences can be offered at www.
