Obituary for Bryan Dean Lane Bryan Dean Lane, 55, went to be with his Lord Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. Bryan was born October 29, 1962 in Albuquerque, NM to James D. and Marilyn “Godfrey” Lane. Bryan was raised in Joplin and was a graduate of Carl Junction High School and MSSU.

He worked for Tri State Motor Transit, Williams Foods in Kansas City, Orval Kent in Baxter Springs and Tamko in Joplin. Bryan was greatly loved by everyone who met him. He had a contagious grin and a way of making you feel special.

He was a hard worker, a good cook and an avid gardener. He was well known for his love of homegrown hot peppers. He loved his dog, Kaya, and would take her for long walks daily; she was his “Best Buddy” and the light of his life.

Bryan was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the board, drove for the bus ministry and taught adult Sunday school. He had many loyal friends and acquaintances, and will be remembered for his genuine, kind and gentle spirit. He was an organ donor at the time of his passing.

Bryan is survived by his parents; sister and brother, Chris and David Quick of Carl Junction, MO; one nephew, Mike Quick of Kansas City, MO; two nieces, Mary Anne Amos of Joplin and Melissa Rushton of San Antonio, TX, along with numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Florence Lane, Paul and Minnie Godfrey. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, located at 2820 S. Connecticut Ave.

in Joplin. Burial will be Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City.
