Obituary for Buddy R. Brown Buddy Roger Brown 85, of Columbus, Ohio fell asleep in death on October 10, 2018. He was born on July 12, 1933 in Circleville, Ohio to the late Ralph and Mary Alyce (Manson) Brown. On October 22, 1960 he married Patricia (Croson-Green) who resides in Columbus.

He will be lovingly remembered by her children, who he loved as his own, Kathy (Tom) Sauer, Jerome Green, Patrick (Teresa) Green, and Daniel (Charla) Green. Also, their children, Theresa Brown of Columbus, Richard (Stephenie) Brown of Piqua, and James (Nina) Brown of Columbus. Also, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister Monna Holter of Gahanna. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Brown. He is also preceded in death by Patricia’s son, Christopher Green.

Buddy attended South High School and was a plumber by trade. He retired from J. A. Croson Company. He worked throughout all of Columbus and the surrounding areas.

In 1972, Buddy dedicated his life to Jehovah and symbolized this on December 3, 1972 by being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Buddy firmly believed that God’s Kingdom is the only solution to all of mankind’s problems. Due to his firm belief, his love for Jehovah and for people, he zealously helped others understand and follow God’s Word the Bible.

Buddy lovingly served the congregation as an elder for over 40 years, looking after one’s spiritual and physical needs. He dedicated countless hours of his time and energy to building and maintaining Kingdom Halls and the London Assembly Hall as part of the Regional Building Committee. His tender heart, his self-sacrificing ways, and his funny wit endeared him to all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed. Having died faithful, his hope is to live forever on earth (Psalms 37:29). He will be resurrected on earth along with those he lost in death.

(Acts 24:15) He will enjoy everlasting life in perfect health with all of his loved ones under God’s Kingdom rule, and we look forward to seeing him there with eager anticipation. He was laid to rest on October 15 at the Reber Hill Cemetery in Ashville, Ohio. A memorial service for Buddy will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1555 College Ave.
