Calvin Jan Mize, 56, of Holly Hill, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday morning October 3, 2018. The visitation will be held on Friday afternoon October 5, 2018 from 4 until 5 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted.

Calvin was born on September 5, 1962, in West Virginia, but raised in Alabama, one of seven siblings, a son of the late Rev. Oliver Samuel Mize and Frances Lauravel Ridgeaway. Calvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, and football.

Calvin had 30 years of automotive frame and body experience. He is survived by his children, son Corey Justin Mize of Charleston; daughter Christian Mize Skinner of Charleston; son Cole Wesley Mize (Kayla Borter) of St. George; the pending birth of his granddaughter Emma Marie Mize in December. He is predeceased by his son Davey Blick, Jr. and two brothers.
