Obituary for Elke Inge Stockdale Elke Inge Stockdale, 57, of Summerville, wife of Michael Patrick Stockdale, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at MUSC. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 9 o’clock until hour of service at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11 o’clock.

Elke was born on March 30, 1961 in Niederkostenz, Germany, daughter of Renate Rode of Kirchberg, Germany and the late Willi Rode. She enjoyed playing pool on a local APA pool team, Snake Pit.

She loved her family, friends and pets. Survivors including her husband Michael of 36 years are: one daughter: Maralee Barela (Jason) of Summerville; one son: John Stockdale of Mt. Pleasant; two granddaughters: Coralie and Karmen; five siblings: Birgit Mohr (Klaus), Wolfhard Rode (Michaela), Stefan Rode (Martina), Jutta Barz (Holger) and Karmen Coleman (Vernon) all of Germany; nieces and nephews: Christian & Jennifer (Ronja), Michelle & Christian (Riccardo), Marina & Clayton (Ian), Melanie, Laura, Jannick, Lisa, Marcel, Hanna, Sarah & Michael (Justine) (Yannis).
