Obituary for Ripon “Ben” Benjamin Ahl Ripon “Ben” Ahl, 70, of Florence, husband of the late Ethel “Cricket” Louise Dyson Ahl, passed away on November 15, 2018 in Florence. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 2 to 4 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted.

Ben was born on October 7, 1948 in Charleston, son of the late Dewey Wade Ahl and Mae Elizabeth Womack. Ben impacted the community and spent his time volunteering at the Veterans Victory House. He loved writing and doing crossword puzzles.

Ben was a huge NASCAR fan and loved to fish. Survivors include: two sons: B.B. Ahl (Linda) and Zachary Ahl of Florence; one daughter: Sabrina Brunson of St. Matthews. He was predeceased by two grandchildren: Benjamin Tyler Ahl and Allisen Brunson.
