Carolyn Middleswarth Walsh, 71, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at Parks Funeral Home from 6 – 8 o’clock. Memorial Services will be held Friday afternoon, November 2, 2018 at 2 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted. Carolyn was born on April 26, 1947 in Portsmouth, VA, a daughter of William F. Middleswarth and Helen M. Frink Middleswarth.

She was an assistant administrator for St. George Convalescent Center and served as President for the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), Jasmine Chapter, for over 10 years. She was a member at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and was a former choir member. Carolyn enjoyed cooking for others and was a very generous caregiver.

She loved her dog, Baxter. She is survived by her son, Gabe Walsh and his wife Linda of Summerville; her daughter, Jennifer Winningham and her husband Marty of Summerville; three brothers, Richard Middleswarth of Pelion, SC, Billy Middleswarth, of Charlotte, NC, Johnny Middleswarth, of NC; one sister, Mary Ellen Altman of Summerville; and three grandchildren. Carolyn was predeceased by her spouse, William “Billy” Walsh; her grandmother, Mamie Frink; her parents, Bill and Helen Middleswarth, her brother, Warren Lee Middleswarth and her brother-in-law, Steve Walsh.
