Obituary for Donna Jean Smith Donna Jean Smith, 56, of Summerville, wife of Raymond Joseph Smith, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 9 o’clock to 11 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A Celebration of life service will begin at 11 o’clock.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to MUSC Hollings Cancer, 86 Jonathan Lucas St., Charleston, SC 29425. Donna was born on October 26, 1962 in Holy Loch, Scotland, daughter of Donald and Lorraine Hanley. She graduated from Summerville High School class of 1980.

She enjoyed and had a passion for catching red fish in the Charleston Harbor. She loved spending time with her granddaughter. She was a 5th degree master instructor in Tae Kwon Do.

She loved her family and friends from over the years. Survivors including her parents and husband Raymond of 38 years are: one daughter: Kristina Smith Mitchum (Allen) of St. George; one son: Raymond Joseph Smith, II; one granddaughter: Tenley Elizabeth Mitchum; one sister: Karen Herndon (Byron) of Harleyville; two nieces: Leslie Faust (Bubba) of Harleyville and Shannon Younginer (Kenny) of Harleyville; one nephew: Donnie Herndon (Misty) of Harleyville; five great nieces and nephews: Clayton Jackson, Daulton Faust, Kaitlyn Faust, Chandler Younginer and Marley Herndon.
