Obituary for Louis A. “Whitt” Whittington Jr. Louis A. “Whitt” Whittington, Jr., 84, of Charleston, husband of Brenda Whittington, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Roper Hospice Cottage, Mt. Pleasant. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 o’clock on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Saint Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 93 Hasell Street, downtown Charleston with the Reverend H. Gregory West, Pastor, officiating.

Guests should plan to arrive at 9:30 o’clock. Parking is available in the garage behind the Belmond Charleston Hotel. Burial will follow at 4 o’clock at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion, SC.

Mr. Whittington was born on August 12, 1934 in Fuquay Varina, NC, son of the late Louis A. Whittington, Sr. and Margaret Thomas Whittington. He served in the United States Army and retired from Bell South Telephone Company. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dorchester PAWS, 136 4 Paws Lane, Summerville, SC 29483.

Survivors include his wife Brenda; one son: Louis A. Whittington, III (Michele) of Summerville, two daughters: Melanie Whittington Burn of Charleston and Dana B. Baker (Jeremy) of Moncks Corner; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www. jamesadyal.com.
