Obituary of Carl Frederick Bickel Jr. Carl Frederick Bickel Jr., 80, of Hampton Twp. , our strong headed, loving, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on March 11, 2019 with his family by his side. Carl was born on November 17, 1938 in Saginaw, the son of the late Carl and Hedwig (Pickelman) Bickel.

Carl graduated from Arthur Hill High School, class of 1956 and went on to serve three enlistments in the U.S. Navy. He was an over the road semi-truck driver for over 35 years. In 1978, Carl met the love of his life, the former Roseanne (Bujaki) Bierlein.

They were married on October 24, 1992, sharing over 26 years of marriage and countless memories. Carl will always be remembered for his love of taking Sunday drives and riding his Harley. Carl leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Roseanne; children, Caron McMan, Roberta Bickel, and Shannon Bickel; step-children, Amy (Mark) Martin, Michael (Jennifer) Bierlein, and Kimberly Boks; grandchildren, Jason Bickel, Kesha (Scott) Shanda, Becky Bejarano, Jonathon Bickel, Ashlee Bauman, Alyssa Bauman, Abigail McMan, Zachery Bickel, Kayla Bickel, Shayna Bickel, Amanda Martin, and Rachel Zamora, along with several great-grandchildren and friends.

In addition to his parents, Carl was welcomed home to heaven by his son, Frederick “Rick” Bickel; life-long friends, Harold “Bud” Stephens and Carl Alles, along with his first wife, Nancy L. (Renner) Bickel. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp.

Cremation has taken place with inurnment to occur in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www. skorupskis.com.
