Carl’s Obituary Mr. Carl James Bowser, Sr. was born October 28, 1961 to Joycelyn Bowser and the late Admiral Joseph Bowser in Pass Christian, MS; where he had been a native for the past 57 years. He graduated from Pass Christian High School in 1980 and joined The United States Army in 1982 and served four years before receiving an honorable discharge. He began his longtime career as a Mail Carrier with the United States Postal Service for 36 years.

He loved his job and became affectionately known as the “Mailman”. He was a very hardworking and skillful man. He was a supportive and loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother-in-law, brother, uncle and friend.

He loved his family unconditionally and was always willing to help anyone. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church; he loved the Lord, enjoyed the singing of the Gospel Choir and attended the 7:30 mass regularly. He enjoyed cooking, being a DJ and announcer for the baseball games on Sundays at the Pecan Grove.

His infectious SMILE and HUGS captured the hearts of many. He was very knowledgeable about any topics discussed and he was always politically correct. He was preceded in death by his father, Admiral Joseph Bowser, stepmother, Betsy Bowser, maternal grandfather, Manuel Dedeaux, maternal grandmother, Rosaline Ausmer, paternal grandmother, Josephine Franklin Bowser, paternal grandfather Dewey Bowser, and brother-in-law, Frederick Rankin.

He leaves to cherish his mother, Joycelyn Bowser, Gulfport, MS, a loving wife of 37 years, Mrs. Violet Bowser, Pass Christian, MS, three sons, Carl James Bowser, Jr. (Shante), of Pass Christian, MS, Jaren Travis Bowser, of Clinton, MS, Shane Tyler Bowser, ( Megan) of Pass Christian, MS, two brothers, Charles J. Bowser (Suzie) of DeLisle, MS and Ira Jefferson, four sisters, Tammy R. Stewart (Nathaniel), Pass Christian, MS, Joy Hammond, Tara Dedeaux, and Keria Barnes (Cenica), all of Gulfport, MS, one step-sister Susie Swanier (Volme), of Pass Christian, one step-brother, Hilton Ray of Gulfport, MS. He has six loving grandchildren, who will definitely miss their “Poppie”. He also has a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
