Carl’s Obituary Carl Tracy Knowlton of Show Low, Arizona peacefully passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was 82. Carl was born on January 27, 1936 in Bainbridge, New York to the late Harry and Marjorie Jean (Miner) Knowlton.

Carl was a United States Navy Veteran having honorably served his country. While in the service he was an active sports writer and DJ. He met the love of his life, Phyllis Nuss, while in the Navy and together they shared 60 years of marriage before her passing in July of 2018.

Carl loved fast cars and football. He raced sprint cars for many years and was an avid Nascar and racing fan. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his 4 children: Carl “Butch”, Doug, Tamie and Karen; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and brothers, Ralph and Stephen. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Phyllis and a brother, Roland “Rube”. Private services will be held.
