Walker’s Obituary Walker William Truax, of Ft. Apache, Arizona passed away on January 21, 2019 at the Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Arizona. He was 56.

Walker was born on February 2, 1962 in Whiteriver, Arizona to Anderson Truax, Sr. and Margaret Walker Truax. Walker had a strong testimony of his Lord and Savior and his faith. He loved to sing at many of the churches throughout the reservation and was always seen praying.

He was very gentle and humble. Walker was always smiling and was known as a great story-teller. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

He loved his nieces and nephews and was always supporting each of them in their own ways. He was a cook for the Whiteriver Head Start for many years. He is survived by his brothers, Travis Truax, Anderson Truax, Jr. and Ronald Suttle; sisters, Rechanda Declay, Tereena Gribble, Chyanne Tessay, Christine Truax and Dena Cole; uncles, Euclan Walker, Rapheal Truax and Adam Truax; aunts, Nellie Massey, Jean Truax and Victoria Brewer as well as many extended family members and friends.

Walker was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Michael and David Truax. A one night wake will begin 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Canyon Day Miracle Church in Canyon Day, Arizona. Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Church.

Interment will follow in the Canyon Day Cemetery.
