Carl W. Viles, 88, of Hill Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Hope Hospice & Pallative Care RI, Providence, RI. Born on March 29, 1930 in St. Joseph, IL, he was the husband of the late Carrie B. (Hastings) and the son of the late Vesper V. and Leona E. (Wright) Viles. Carl was an order clerk Sage Laboratories, Natick, MA for thirty-eight years until retiring in 1992.

Carl is survived by three children; Bruce McClean and his wife Kim, Karen L. Howard and her husband Patrick Sr. and Tina M. Silva and her husband Roy with whom he lived, a brother; Wendel Viles, eight grandchildren and and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters; Lois Stein and Shirley White. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.
