Obituary for Carlene ‘Mamu’ Anderson Carlene ‘Mamu’ Anderson, 74, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Christmas Eve, her and her late husband, John’s favorite holiday. A daughter of the late Bo and Nora Pakish, she was born on December 28, 1943. A resident of Belle Vernon most of her adult life, she was the former owner and operator of Carlene’s Beauty Shop in Monessen in the early 80’s for ten years, and then worked with her son at Tri County Muffler and Brake.

Survivors include her son and daughter in-law; John and Wendy Anderson of Belle Vernon, a daughter, Darcy Jay of Belle Vernon, two grandchildren; Cody Anderson of Belle Vernon and Hayley Anderson and her fiancé, Sam Markoff of Elizabeth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Anderson in 2013. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, PA.
