He was born August 26, 1956 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Carlos Garcia and Josefina Santos. Carlos is survived by his daughters Gloria Garcia and Christina Garcia both of Texas; brothers Luis (Sarah) Perez of Lorain, Hector Maldonado of Patterson, New Jersey and Santiago Santos of Puerto Rico; sisters Carmen Perez of Lorain and Maria Santos of Pennsauken, New Jersey and grandchildren.

Other than his parents Carlos was preceded on death by his brother Angel Maldonado. His family will receive friends Friday, February 22 from 4 PM until time of his funeral service at 7 PM in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain.
