Carlos Santos Hammond Carlos Santos, age 60 of Hammond went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 20, 2018 while surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving mother, Maria M. Santos (Nee Mendoza); six brothers: Felix Santos Jr., Ernesto (Marta) Santos Sr., Jose Luis (Lidia) Santos Sr., Jesse Santos, Eddie Santos, Danny Santos; two sisters: Juanita Santos and Maria (Hector) Ramirez; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his father Felix Santos Sr. Carlos was born in East Chicago, IN and graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt High School.

He was a hard worker and enjoyed his work as a machinist at Vector Engineering for 25 years and then Amested Rail in Hammond. Carlos was a sports fanatic who cheered on the Chicago sports teams. Before passing Carlos accepted the Lord as his Savior, his loved ones will sorely miss him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Funeral service will be held on Monday evening at 7 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Wells officiating. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
