(Mancini) Barresi, 78, passed away May 6, 2019, at her home. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, where a Prayer Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Graveside Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City North.

Carmela was born June 5, 1940, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Anthony and Lena (Leggio) Mancini and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from the Kansas City Credit Bureau and enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and going to lunches with fellow members of “Mary Lynn’s Posse”.

Carmela was preceded in death by her children, Anthony and Phillip Abato, and Lori Abato Majors. She survived by her grandchildren, Monica Abato Malik, and Alex and Allison Majors and their father Gary Majors; her great-grandchildren, Anthony Abato, Markeese and Angelo Fluker, and Josiah Malik; brothers, Tony (Janice) and Angelo (Jackie Burgess) Mancini; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and her beloved dog Deano. Pallbearers: Alex Majors, Josh LaValley, Anthony Abato, Markeese Fluker, Frank Mancini, Mike Mancini, Brian Watson.
