Carmen Juarez Vega, 68 years old, passed away at 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Carmen was born on June 9, 1950 in Mexico. She was a wonderful mother to her seven children.

Carmen enjoyed knitting and loved flowers, especially roses and tulips. Carmen is survived by her children, David Ramirez of South Bend, Ursula (Matt) McClain of Mishawaka, Mark Ramirez of South Bend, Joe (Julia) Ramirez of Rolling Prairie, Ricardo (Marycruz) Ramirez of South Bend, Juan Ramirez of South Bend, and Ernesto (Veronica) Ramirez of South Bend; thirteen grandchildren, Analisa, Mark, Carmen, Sofia, Addison, Gavin, Ricardo, Camila, Romina, Lupe, Ernesto, Maddox, and Ryan; and her brother, Ismael (Lucia) Juarez of Chicago, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Road, South Bend.

Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Carmen Juarez Vega may be donated to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Online condolences may be offered to Carmen’s family at www. palmerfuneralhomes.com.
