Cosmutto, 79, of Seneca, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Joliet Area Hospice Home. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 24th at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Seneca with Rev.

Kris Zierke officiating. Burial will be in Nichol Cemetery in Marseilles. Carol was born on April 2, 1939, in Blue Springs, Nebraska to Gerd and Clara (Vickers) Eiben.

In 1959, she married Rhome Douglas Cosmutto of Marseilles, who survives. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church where she served as the secretary and custodian until her retirement. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Carol always put her family first, whether it was the monthly family luncheons or attending the grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed bus trips with friends and was an avid Chicago Bulls fan. Carol is survived by her children, Greg (Marge) Cosmutto of Winneconne, WI and Linda (Joe) Hacker of Seneca; six grandchildren, Shane, Tyler, and Theresa Cosmutto and Grant, Paige, and Faith Hacker; and three sisters-in-law, Deloris Eiben of Ottawa, Pearl Burns of Marseilles, and Janet Cosmutto of Marseilles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Paul, Ernie, Len, and Roy; and two sisters, Velma Aiden and Dorothy Oslanzi. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home 1009 E. Bluff St., Marseilles, IL 61341 815-795-5151 www.
