She was born on May 29,1933 in New York City, a daughter of the late Murray and Sally (Green) Meyerson. She was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard Lewis Friedman, and her second husband, Daniel Bernstein.

Carol lived in Orange, CT for many years, and raised her family there. She later lived in Upper Montclair, NJ for a number of years, and, most recently, in Poughkeepsie, NY.
