Obituary for Carol F. Richmond Huneke Carol F. Richmond Huneke, 89, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at her home at Deer Crest. She was born on December 17, 1928, in Plum City, Wisconsin to Henry and Frieda (Kempf) Sobottka. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1947.

On November 3, 1947, she was united in marriage to Charles Richmond. They lived in Hudson for many years where she worked for 1st National Bank and then M and I Bank in Prescott retiring in 1995. From 1986 to 2000 she resided in the Hager City area.

Charles died on May 6, 1996. On May 14, 2000 she married Burton Huneke and they lived in Red Wing. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling, crocheting, decorating cakes and fishing.

She is survived by her husband, Burton; three children, John (Donna) Richmond, Douglas (Deborah) Richmond and Karen (Rick) Herrick; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Ellen (Gene) Kirchner, Joyce Hawke and Jane Terpstra; two brothers, Roger (Yvonne) Sobottka and Tom (Jane) Wider along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles; her parents; step-father, Earl Wider; one sister, Shirley and three brothers, Dale, Stanley and David. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.

Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
