On Thursday, July 19, 2018, Carol went to be with her Lord and Savior. As it is written in John 14 verse 3, The Lord said in my Fathers house are many rooms and I have gone to prepare a place for you. When I return I will take you with me.

Carol was born in Neenah, WI on Oct. 17, 1933, the daughter of Otto and Adeline Pagel. Later the family moved to Appleton and she graduated from Appleton West High School in 1951.

On August 7, 1954 she was united in marriage to Claude Heinz Jr. Together they had two sons. Among her favorite things to do were reading, sewing and crocheting. Claude and Carol enjoyed traveling around the U.S.

She also enjoyed just sitting outside and marveling at God’s creation. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends. She was a member of the Ladies Aide and Dorcas Society and helped with funeral luncheons.

Carol is survived by her two sons: Mike Heinz and Greg Heinz both of Appleton; a sister, Jan Laabs, Beaver Dam; brothers and sisters-in-law: Dee & Jerry Captain, Shirley & Ron Dollovoet and Marie Heinz; many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude and his parents: Claude and Anna Heinz; brothers-in-law: Don Laabs and Robert Heinz. The family would like to thank ThedaCare at Home and the nurses and staff at Willow Lane Assisted Living for the wonderful care they gave our mother.

A special thank you to Rev. Zach Gebert for his visits and prayers. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Bethany Lutheran Church (530 W Parkway Blvd) Appleton with Rev.

Zach Gebert officiating. Visitation will begin at church at 9:30 AM Tuesday. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
